Just outside Poznań, in Western Poland, Black Water Links brings the character of traditional links golf to the landscape of Greater Poland. Opened as a full 18-hole course in 2022, it combines championship ambitions, modern training facilities and a strong environmental philosophy.
Designed by Danish golf-course architect Caspar Grauballe, the course is shaped by open terrain, rolling fairways, demanding rough and an ever-present wind. The result is elegant, strategic and occasionally unforgiving. A golfer may arrive with confidence, sophisticated equipment and a carefully prepared plan; the wind may review all three and suggest revisions.
The story of Black Water Links is closely connected with Andrzej Wentland and Waldemar Rumiński. Wentland transformed an ambitious idea into a major sporting investment, while Rumiński an experienced golfer, club board member and managing director—played an important role in developing the project and its golfing culture.
Today, Black Water Links offers more than its championship course. Its facilities include a TrackMan-equipped driving range, a six-hole academy and extensive areas for practising the short game. The project also emphasises ecological course management, including responsible irrigation and avoiding chemical treatments.
Black Water Links is therefore not simply a place to play golf. It is a thoughtful combination of sport, entrepreneurship, landscape and long-term ambition—created near Poznań and designed to meet high level expectations.
